Ed has been in Mexicali Mexico for a week and a half. I'm not sure there is an end in sight but he is getting to work on his Spanish. When he was a kid, he did not live that far from Mexicali (on the US side of course). Here are a few pictures:
Ed used to live in a house in El Centro as a kid but had to move because they were going to build a freeway. His house in now a 7-11! Alas, you can't go back home again.

Ed's old grade school

The entrance to Ed's hotel in Mexico. There are the Mexico, US, and China flags. Both the US and China do alot of business in Mexicali.

The fountain in front of the hotel

The hotel restaurant. Ed says their American food is not bad.
